About

Invest Cambodia: who we are and how we work

An independent market-entry consultancy for companies and investors entering Cambodia. This page is the entity record: who writes our guides, what we check, and what we deliberately do not claim.

In short

Invest Cambodia is a market-entry consultancy. We research markets, find and check partners, arrange business visits, coordinate company set-up through licensed Cambodian professionals, and advise on investment structure. We are not a law firm, an accounting practice or a broker, and we do not sell software, licences or property.

Who writes this site

Every guide is written and fact-checked by the Invest Cambodia research desk, which works from primary sources: Cambodian statutes, sub-decrees and prakas, the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Department of Taxation, the General Department of Customs and Excise, the Ministry of Labour, and international institutions. Where a figure comes from a law firm, a trade publication or a practitioner account, we say so and link it.

How we verify a figure

  1. Instrument first. We look for the law, sub-decree, prakas or official notice behind a number, and cite the instrument rather than a summary of it. Where only a secondary source confirms a figure, we label it as such.
  2. Date everything. Each figure carries the period it covers and the date the source published it, because Cambodian rules and statistics move.
  3. Test the number. Where an official tool exists — the National Trade Repository for duty rates, the Single Portal for registration, the Ministry of Commerce fee schedule — we link it so you can check the position yourself.
  4. Say when we cannot confirm something. Where a figure circulates widely but we cannot find it in a primary source, we either leave it out or mark it as unverified. We would rather omit a number than publish one we cannot stand behind.

Review status and what needs qualified review

Our guides are research, not legal or tax advice. Statements about company law, tax, land, employment and incentives need a licensed Cambodian lawyer, tax practitioner or accountant to confirm for your specific facts. Where a page carries a legal or tax position, we flag it on the page itself.

Current status: our guides are published with sources and flagged where a licensed Cambodian professional must confirm the position before a reader relies on it. We are adding a named Cambodian-qualified reviewer and will publish the name and credentials here when that is in place. Until then, treat the legal and tax sections as research, not advice.

What we do not do

  • We do not guarantee approvals, sales, returns or timelines.
  • We do not give legal or tax advice, and we do not offer securities or broker property.
  • We do not accept a fee from a party we recommend without telling you first.
  • We do not publish figures we cannot source, and we do not use invented case studies or testimonials.
